Whatever breaks you down Whatever shakes your bones and hides em so they can't be found Whatever takes you by the ear and turns you round and around I'll be your one man band without makin a sound And every angel that was sprawled out on the floor All the teenagers screamin’ out for more and more So what you waitin for? Whatever breaks you down Whatever keeps you sane Whatever makes it so that I can see you through it again I'm just a fool who'd like to take a year to silence my brain I'll be your Huckleberry and I'll sing in the rain And every angel that was sprawled out on the floor All the teenagers screamin' out for more and more I'll be your stranger if you walk me to the door So what you waitin for? Come on and tell me more, more, more And every angel that was sprawled out on the floor All the teenagers screamin’ out for more and more I’ll be your stranger if you walk me to the door But there’s no danger if you want me any more So what you waitin for? Come on and give me more, more, more More, more, more More, more, more

Dream with me Of islands in the sea They're not exactly what you think And they might be on the brink Of anarchy So now it's time For leaving We knew this day would pass And though all our hearts are grieving You know I must go on believing If you don't go you never can come back We've been through limbo But not hell Just long enough For us to tell That these stories we've written Might not sell If we stay in the hour of fond farewell And for the longest time I hated How your loss cut like a knife But in letters clearly stated Neither postmarked, sent, nor dated That I need you back here in my life We've been through limbo But not hell Just long enough For us to tell That these stories we've written Might not sell If we stay in the hour of fond farewell The hour of fond farewell The hour of fond farewell

Backtrack 04:04
You're gettin feisty now For all the appropriate little reasons But I just won't give up hope on you You've got such sycophants In elephants this tourist season But your pachyderms' memories won't do This idealization won't fade But my sick fascination Is retrograde Because You're gonna backtrack Gonna backtrack Back to me Said you better watch that You better watch that your Your tone Your tone with me My doctor told me, "Stop overanalyzing all your heartbeats." I told him, "I know," But I'm not sure It's such a drag to dwell on every single little side street But I sense that it might be half the cure This idealization won't fade But my sick fascination is retrograde Because You're gonna backtrack You're gonna backtrack Back to me You better watch that You better watch that Your Your tone with me Your tone with me I'm moving back to the city Cuz that's where I belong But it's not nearly so pretty To warrant a love song This idealization won't fade But my sick fascination Is retrograde Because You're gonna backtrack You're gonna backtrack Back to me You better watch that You better watch that Your Your tone Repeat chorus Your tone with me (outro)

Sleepwalkers 03:40
We are wasting waterfalls We are scared to death I passed out in the blaring moonshine I’m in over my head But if we creep past quietly we’ll keep away from daylight And since we’re not sleepwalkers really they’ll see our opened eyes Caught in a lie Caught in a lie You told me I was something special You get me every time What’s wrong with needing affirmation? Oh right - it spoils the rhyme And if your heart mistakes this thunder for something more discreet I’ll wreak and rend your love asunder until I am complete Caught in a lie Caught in a lie This darkness makes me feel so cheesy like I was still a small child And you don’t care about old movies Thought black and white’s your new style But if we creep past quietly we’ll keep away from daylight And since we’re not sleepwalkers really they’ll see our opened eyes Caught in a lie Caught in a lie So just pass me by

J’attends encore en-core

about

Alter Egos Montréal, Québec

Alter Egos formed when Andrew heard the demos that Rob had recorded while living on an island off the coast of West Africa. Old pals from the infamous "Poutine Circuit", the dynamic duo decided it wise to form a hot new teen combo. The band is now poised to bring their smooth adult contemporary and tiki-infused sounds to the bowling alleys and seedy cocktail lounges of North America. ... more
